Only one way out

Wednesday 19th October. By Paul.

Buckskin Gulch is the longest slot canyon in the world and is one of the best that we have hiked. Imagine 100m sheer walls rising up a mere 2 to 5 meters apart and then have 20kms of this – no way out except to hike the length of it.

Cliffs change shapes and colours. There is squeezing under rocks, ancient pictographs and even some knee deep water to walk through. Just brilliant.

About paulandjodie

Our first blog, five star tent, was a six month project in parallel with a journey on foot and by kayak from Alaska to Patagonia. Now back to real life, Jodie is inspired to start blogging again, just a little bit, with photo theme hop.
