Hoodoo gurus

Thursday 22nd September. By Paul.

I’ve learnt new names for different rock structures since coming to Utah, like hoodoo, butte, mesa and fin. I planned to act all informed about them but Jodie just threw a brochure that I was about to plagiarize into the bin, so I’ll have to make the next stuff up.
Actually it is probably best if I don’t write technical descriptions as nobody would believe me anyway. Instead below are photos of each, starting with mesa (top), then butte, fin and hoodoo (bottom). For facts you can look them up in Wikipedia.

About paulandjodie

Our first blog, five star tent, was a six month project in parallel with a journey on foot and by kayak from Alaska to Patagonia. Now back to real life, Jodie is inspired to start blogging again, just a little bit, with photo theme hop.
