I have always heard that the Canadian Rockies are superb, but trying to write about them is oh, so difficult. To do so would require prolific use of cliches… Turquoise blue lakes nestled under rocky massifs, with glaciers gripping the mountain walls like fingers. Sunny alpine meadows, filled with wildflowers, angling up to jagged peaks…no matter how much I try to describe the mountains here, it sounds hollow.
Walking in these mountains is a sublime experience. I’ll let some photos do the talking ( but even they don’t capture the atmosphere )
