Yukon spirit

Friday, 19th August. By Paul.

Our first 7 weeks of our trip was in the Yukon, where our friends Kam, Cyn and Art looked after us so well. They lent us their cars, houses, GPS tracker, gear and filled us up with beer, moose, arctic char, trout, local raspberries, coffee and some of the best desserts that we ever have eaten… The red velvet chocolate cake was just delectable.

They made dentist appointments, picked us up in remote places, organized warranty claims, posted mails, scanned, printed and pretty much knew everybody in the Yukon.

Now we are on a plane to Calgary, where we will go into the Rockies until mid-September…miss our friends in the Yukon already, even Juniper, the cat who eats food left unattended within seconds.

About paulandjodie

Our first blog, five star tent, was a six month project in parallel with a journey on foot and by kayak from Alaska to Patagonia. Now back to real life, Jodie is inspired to start blogging again, just a little bit, with photo theme hop.

Cool stats Jodie & Paul – enjoyed our first leg of armchair travelling with you and looking forward to the next leg!

    Howdy Folks,

This is sooooooooo awesome what your’re doing! We’re following your every report with huge-eyed intensity, gasping and wowing, jealous and not (rough bush-bashing in north of Sweden was enough for me, though compared to this it seems like a walk in the park :)) Your wildlife experiences are AMAZING! The closest thing in Shanghai would be a seriously enormous cockroach (I’m sure you remember). Thanks so much for sharing – we truly enjoy it!!!

    Love Cats & Michael 🙂 🙂
